  • Part of Trip cancelled due to Cyclone - Expedia help too hard to reach abroad

    We were in Australia for a 2 week trip. While in Sydney, we were notified that a cyclone was coming and we would have to change our plans for the second half of our trip. We had no trouble canceling the resort on the GBR, but when we tried to reach Expedia, it kept flipping to Expedia AU, then it couldn't find our reservation. Then we tried Quantas airlines directly, and they said we had to work through Expedia.   • Expedia flight changes.

    We booked a flight to Peru through Expedia. Due to the airline changing a fight they called us and told we had to change the fight to a significantly worse flight with much longer layover and flight time. They did offer to cancel our flight and rebook a new flight all together which is what we chose. They did charge us a fee to cancel our flight although it was the airline that had changed the flight.   • Expedia service is a total let down

    We just had a Family 8 day holiday in Fiji which I totally booked through Expedia. Have to say it was a disaster given I spent every day trying to sort out problems which occurred through poor Expedia service. In short, the time, cost and effort taken telephoning Expedia became such a frustration it paled the actual problem into insignificance. Many, many hours on the phone, switched from one operator to another, calls dropping out when the operator found it too hard, long periods of time waiting then often nothing.   • Computer glitch caused 2 bookings for the same hotel

    While booking a hotel for for one night a computer lag in Expedia's system resulted in a screen that said the site was temporary not taking reservations. it booted me out and I went in to re-book the room. when looking at my credit card I noticed that I had been billed and booked for two rooms. When i called Expedia I spoke to a representative that did not address the problem at and kept repeating my reservation information which was not the problem.
